In last night's episode of Gossip Girl, the drama finally overshadowed the fashion. But one item did stand out: Blair's Dior tote. She carried the Lady Dior Stamped Cannage bag in both red (pictured) and black. I'm of the same mind-set that if you really love something, you should buy it in different colors—but not when that something costs $1,690!

Granted, Blair does have an Upper East Side bank account. For the majority of us who don't, I suggest Kate Spade's more reasonably priced Tarrytown Quinn. This past weekend, I saw the tote on sale in gray at Bloomingdale's, but if you prefer to shop online, the pink one below also comes in Pacific blue and black.  

You can even clip on Juicy Couture's gold heart, which opens to a pot of gloss. It's much more practical than Blair's Dior logo charm but equally glam.

Nicole Richie underwent several fashion incarnations before becoming the embodiment of boho glam. "I pretty much wear what I think is comfortable for me," she told mystyle at the grand opening of D&G's flagship boutique on Robertson Boulevard benefiting Art of Elysium.

Nic's fave thing to wear while she was preggers? It wasn't the superchic Moschino LBD or even that glorious Roberto Cavalli halter gown. "I loved wearing my Balenciaga motorcycle pants with T-shirts—and when I got really, really pregnant, I wore Joel's shirts!" she laughed.

Last year's colorblocking trend is still going strong. Black Halo, T-Bags and LaROK offer some of our favorite youthful, contrasting brights. But if you want a more sophisticated look, try a monochromatic multitone dress.

The subtlety of varying shades in a single color is mature, but still modern. I suggest buying one in spring's more understated hues: lavender or slate (bluish/gray). Any neutral will also work.

It is the finale for the first season, and yes, I will let you follow along my journey till the end. Can you believe it? In seven months, I have lost 104 pounds! That averages out to be about 14 pounds a month; that is 1 pound every two to three days. YAY! I am hacky wacky about it. I still have over 200 pounds more to lose! WOW!

But I am determined to win for me and you! It is the hardest battle of my life. But this is the battle for my life. For the first time, I really got it! I really got it that this was killing—and will kill—me. It is not only about the weight, y'all, it's what having 10 to 100, to 200, to 300 extra pounds will do to you. The scary thing to me, even knowing this, is that I have to fight to beat this. This is an addiction!

Having practiced yoga for many years, I thought my first Pilates class would be a cinch.  But I found it impossible to remember to tighten my abs, or "core" as it's called, for 45 minutes straight.
